Diggin’ In The Crates pt.10

records

For the 10th installment of diggin’ in the crates I thought I’d go for a 80’s soul theme, kicking off with a Quincy Jones track.
With so many albums to choose from, I’ve picked the track “One Hundred Ways”, taken from Jones’ 1981 album “The Dude” , the track features James Ingram on vocals. More recently One Hundred Ways was sampled by MF Doom on his track “Rhymes Like Dimes”.

Next up we have The Isley Brothers track “Between The Sheets”. Released in 1983 and taken from the album of the same name, Between The Sheets has been sampled by many people, but it is for Notorious BIG’s “Big Poppa” , that it is best known.
