Diggin’ In The Crates pt.9

records

For the latest installment of diggin’ in the crates action, I have decided to go with a 60’s theme. First up we have “Dizzy” by Tommy Roe, released in 1969 it was Tommy’s biggest hit. These days Vic Reeves’ cover version is better known, however in 1989 De La Soul sampled Roe’s version on their classic, “The Magic Number”.

Next we have the Hombres with their 1967 track, “Let It All Hang Out”, taken from the album of the same name. The song is now being used on a beer advert, but in the early 90’s it was sampled by uk hip hop/dance/pop outfit Definition Of Sound on their hit, “Wear Your Love Like Heaven”.
