Diggin’ In The Crate pt.6

records

For the 6th installment of diggin in the crate, I have 2 gems for you.
First up we have La Belle Epoque “Miss Broadway”. The group were a female, Paris based disco, soul band. “Miss Broadway” was the bands biggest hit back in 1977, and was later sampled by Special Ed on the track “Come On, Let’s Move It” taken from his 1990 album “Legal” on Profile Records.

Next up we have Lou Courtneys “Hey Joyce”.
“Hey Joyce” was sampled by Main Source’s, “He Got So Much Soul”, taken from their classic 90’s hip hop album “Breakin Atoms”. The track is also known for being used in DJ Shadow and Cut Chemists classic mix CD “Brainfreeze”.
