London Posse

The London Posse were one of the first groups to emerge on the UK hip hop scene, and quite possibly one of the best. They were first formed by beatboxer Sipho, who asked Rodney P, Bionic and DJ Bizznizz to join him on a U.S tour with Big Audio Dynamite.
On their return they released the 12″, “London Posse” backed with “My Beatbox Reggae Style” (the track we have here), produced by Tim Westwood and released in 87 on the Big Life label.
Soon after Sipho and Bizznizz left the group, but Rodney P and Bionic went on to release a number of singles and the album “Gangster Cronicle” in 1990, more recently re-issued on Word Play Records. London Posse were one of the first UK groups to use their own, distinctly British accents, so check this track out.
