Diggin’ In The Crate pt.3

records

First up we have the track “Mongoose” by Elephant’s Memory. This is a great funky rock track taken from the 1970 album “Take It To The Streets”. Elephant’s Memory were a New York undergound rock band, who worked with the likes of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, however this track is best known for being sampled by Cypress Hill on their track “Latin Lingo”, I just wish I had a better quality copy.

Next up we have Galt MacDermot “Space”.  MacDermot is best known for his soundtrack work, the most famous being the original soundtrack to the musical “Hair”.
“Space” is taken from the soundtrack “Woman Is Sweeter”, but is best known for being sampled by Busta Rhymes on his hit “Whoo-Haa”.
