Cover Versions

For the latest cover versions post, I wanted to give you a couple of covers by “madchester” bands.

First up we have Ian Browns version of “Billie Jean” by Michael Jackson. Taken from his 1999 single, “Dolphins Were Monkeys”, Brown also covered “Thriller” but sadly I never managed to get that. This cover never fails to make me smile.   ysi    rapidshare

Next we have a rather odd version of the Bee Gees disco classic “Stayin’ Alive”, by the Happy Mondays. Released in 1991 and only available on the Australian and Japanese versions of the Judge Fudge single, the Monday’s certainly make this track their own. Excellent stuff!    ysi    rapidshare
