To carry from the last diggin post, I have 2 tracks that have been used for 2 massive RnB hits over recent years.
First up we have The Meters with their track ”Oh, Calcutta!”. Taken from their 1970 album , “Look-Ka Py Py”, the track is now better known for being sampled on the Amerie hit “1 Thing”.

Next up we have Dave Cortez With The Moon People with their track, “Hippy Skippy Moon Strut”. Thanks to Dr Budsac for hooking me up with this track, to be honest I know very little about Dave Cortez other than he was making music from the 50’s to the 70’s. This track is now better known for being sampled by DJ Premier for the Christina Aguilera hit, “Ain’t No Other Man”.
