Diggin’ In The Crates pt.15

For the 15th diggin’ in the crates post I have gone for a pop theme. We have 3 tracks sampled on big pop hits from the mid to late 90s and early 2000’s.
First up we have Patrice Rushen with her 1982 hit “Forget Me Nots” taken from the album “Straight From The Heart” . The track was later sampled by Will Smith for “Men In Black” and by George Michael on his hit “Fast Love”. ysi zshare
Next we have the one and only Barry White with his classic “It’s Ecstasy When You Lay Down Next To Me” , one of my favourite titles and one of my favourite Barry White tracks. Taken from the 1977 album “Barry White Sings For Someone You Love” it was later sampled by Robbie Williams (the first and last time you will see his name mentioned on this blog I promise) on his hit “Rock DJ”. ysi zshare
And finally we have The Chi-Lites “Are You My Woman?”. This track is taken from their 1970 album “I Like Your Lovin’ (Do You Like Mine?)” . It is best known for being used on Beyonce’s massive hit “Crazy In Love” . ysi zshare
