Diggin’ In The Crates pt.11

For this installment of diggin’ in the crates I’ve gone for a little Cut Chemist and DJ Shadow theme. Only 2 tracks for now, as there are lots more I could use, but I shall save those for another time and post!
First up we have Pleasure Web “Music Man (pt.1 & 2)”. Originally released in 1973 on the Eastbound Records label, this track has more recently been sampled by Jurassic 5 on there track “Jayou”.

Next up we have Homer Simpsons favourite band, Grand Funk Railroad with their track “Nothing Is The Same”. Taken from their 1970 album “Closer To Home” , Nothing Is The Same was later sampled by DJ Shadow on his classic, “Hardcore Instrumental Hip-Hop”, although I feel I must point out that Master Ace used it for “Music Man” before Shadow.
